The General Services Administration (GSA) is an independent agency of the United States government, which manages and supports the basic functioning of federal agencies. Their Public Buildings Service (PBS) division acquires and manages thousands of federal properties (PBS).

Human Technologies provides a full range of environmental services to three federal courthouses owned by GSA PBS in New York State: The Alexander Pirnie federal building in Utica, the District Courthouse in Binghamton, and the Robert H. Jackson United States Courthouse in Buffalo, a beautiful 10 story building occupying a city block designed and constructed to achieve a LEED-NC Gold certification.

We have been a prime contractor to GSA since 2002, providing employment to 18 people with disabilities who perform janitorial, ground maintenance and landscaping, snow removal, window cleaning, trash and recycling removal, and pest control services.

Oneida County is located in central New York, with a population of 235,000. The county seat is in Utica.

In 2011, the county made the extraordinary decision to have us provide for 19 government buildings and sites under one NYSID Preferred Source contract, including the Utica and Rome Courthouses, the County Office Building, the Federal Reserve, Union Station, the Department of Public Works, and the Oneida County Airport.

This contract provides employment to 48 people with disabilities who perform janitorial, ground maintenance and landscaping, snow removal, trash and recycling removal, and pest control.

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Rome Research Site is a preeminent research and technology center for the Air Force and serves as an important benefactor to the five surrounding counties’ economy.
